Historic Elements for Building Signage
Signs placed in historically significant buildings must be appropriately detailed and sensitively integrated with the original architectural detailing. The signs must appear to be a natural extension of the historic environment, using appropriate materials, colors and typestyles. Basic Plus or Custom designs will be required with custom colors, complimentary type styles, and higher level finishes, such as metals and frosted glass/acrylic.

Consider using patterns or details found in the building’s historic architecture, such as the “Greek Key” pattern in the example kiosk shown. New signs may also require approval by a historic preservation review committee before they can be implemented.
