equipment, but clearly, increased security is here to
stay. Steps can be taken, however, that will result in a
more positive experience. First, identify a new pocket
of space for the security equipment that will allow for
better circulation and a more open lobby. After finding
the best location for the equipment, capitalize on
advances in security technology and equipment design
that can make the security station less imposing and
convey a positive message through accompanying signs.
